Akıncı’s response was less than polite.

The stalled project to supply drinking and irrigation water to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) through the Northern Cyprus Water Supply project was finally restarted with an agreement signed between Turkey and North Cyprus. Water had been flowing into the Geçitköy dam for a short period before an argument surfaced over who would manage the project. This disagreement caused the water flow to stop and for the TL 1.6 billion ($576.3 million) to be put into jeopardy.
Apparently the south’s Deputy Government Spokesman, Victoras Papadopoulos, has said that a solution to the Cyprus problem is not possible unless Güzelyurt in the north is returned.
According to the Turkish Milliyet newspaper (29.02.16) a delegation from the World Bank, which along with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is intending to finance a solution to the Cyprus problem, visited Ercan Airport in the north. The delegation was there to see whether the airport will be able to offer international services after a possible solution is reached and possibly even if it is not. The foundations of the airport has been laid by TT Airports and in a statement to Milliyet, Serhat Ozcelik the general director said that it will be offering services for up to nine million passengers a year. He even suggested that the airport is now safer than the Larnaka International Airport.
Just before Christmas you could get just over 4.50TL to the Pound Sterling but since then UK uncertainty over EU membership has caused it to tumble. At its lowest this year you could only get 4.08TL, a 10% drop in value. This was when Boris Johnson decided that UK should leave the EU and this was expected to tip the undecided camp into acceptance of his view. The market responded to the PM in waiting’s revelation by doing what it would do if UK left the EU, it dumped the pound. On top of this was PM Cameron’s EU deal that wasn’t and the Tory MP rush to join the Leave camp.
British planes at Akotiri in Cyprus are being accused of cloud-seeding in order to create weather favourable for jets in Syrian attacks. Chemtrails are caused by the use of chemicals to affect weather and can supposedly be seen coming from the jet engines of planes. Contrails are condensation trails caused by gaseous streams of air turning to water in colder air and can be seen coming from the jet engines of planes. Just like when your warm breath visibly condenses when it hits cold air.
Kibris Postasi newspaper (23.02.16) reports the response of the north’s President, Mustafa Akinci, to criticisms that property purchasers in the north will spend years in courts trying to establish the right to keep what they have bought:
While Turkish Cypriots are justified in demanding that a Cyprus settlement should give them a secure constituent state and political equality in key areas of a federal government, there is a danger that if the internationally recognised Republic of Cyprus were to cease to exist then EU membership may have to be renegotiated.
Well, it has now been decided that the EU referendum vote will be on 23 June 2016. Your vote on that day, or more likely your decision not to vote, will affect the future of every UK citizen. There are few hard facts and a lot of speculation so the vast majority of voters will be following the lead of pundits either in their daily newspaper or a simplistic explanation of why we should or should not remain in the EU. Personally I believe the advice given to jurors should apply, don’t vote for an exit unless the evidence shows that this would be best outcome for YOU. That’s the important thing to remember, many pundits will tell you to vote to leave because it benefits them or their employers but that does not necessarily mean it would benefit you personally.
