The first is about a plan for the TRNC government to buy the Greatstone 13 houses and lease them to the ex-pat owners. There were very little details, only that for the length of the lease the ex-pats would look after the properties for the government and probably pay for the privilege.
The North Cyprus News in Cyprus Today’s current edition is full of anger. Anger that home-buyers are still being scammed after 15 years, anger at the quality of TRNC roads, anger at the recent price hikes and anger that the body of deceased Rauf Denktas is currently locked in a dark room instead of having a museum built to put his body in.

North Cyprus News in Cyprus Today on 4th January 2020 is a bit sparse. On the front page one article says that in the North foreigners will get a fair trial, unlike in the south, and the other says that prices are going up.
A member of Garanti Bank confirmed, during a phone call, that Pinar Ocal Gokboru Could Have Avoided the Hack which cost John and Mary Groaves £20 000. The source explained that conveyancers regularly transferred large sums of money from property sales. They went on to say that explanation for the low amounts that Pinar Ocal Gokboru transferred were a puzzle to them.

According to the Guardian newspaper (16-12-2019) an armed Turkish drone arrived at Geçitkale airport in North Cyprus as part of a move to defend Turkey’s move on territory claimed by Greece and South Cyprus.
The front page North Cyprus News in Cyprus Today, for 14th December 2019, are mainly about lies. For example, there is a rumour that Karaman leases to foreigner is to be stopped. Anyway, see if you can spot the lies in the other front page stories.
