Oh dear how terrible. Perhaps they should have checked the legitimacy of the “state” where they thought they were buying with the British High Commissioner or Foreign Office.
Still, their problems pale into insignificance when you consider the thousands of Cypriots who were killed in order to “liberate” the land on which their cheap places in the sun were built and the tens of thousands who were kicked out of their homes so that “vacant” plots would become available to the opportunist carpetbaggers.

Jerry, you are so right. Now go figure how those thousands of Cypriots who did die would feel if they knew that 2004 referendum voters in the south gave the north away to Turkey.

The Greek Cypriots rejected the AP because it effectively gave legitimacy to Turkey’s land grab. Don’t take my word for it though.

Jerry, I don’t need to read anything to realise that any compromise involving Turkish speaking Cypriots becoming independent from Greek speaking Cypriots would be unnacceptable. That’s why I suspect there will never be a settlement and that the area north of the current crossings will become part of Turkey, in effect. I also suspect that if Erdogan wins the election today, and he will one way or another, and if the EU and UK collapse, then eventually he will take possession of the south with the help of the Russians. Should have voted yes in the 2004 referendum.

The EU collapse? Take possession of an EU State? You are hallucinating.

Jerry, don’t take my word for it. 🙂

Exactly the same as all those involved in ripping off purchasers of every nationality.

Once a crook, always a crook. Seems he may well have sold the same land twice and if it is the property of Greek Cypriots, which I suspect it is…profited twice from land he never owned.
What a splendid Head of the Estate Agents Association he turned out to be and what a hypocrite he was when ‘pretending’ to help the victims of the same crimes as an advisor in the now defunct Property Advice Office.

Would you not expect that the Head of the Estate Agents Association to ha e sorted this years ago and made sure no one was robbed of their life’s savings….nahhh…they are all in this up to their greedy necks.

No one is safe in north Cyprus property and it can all go tits up for anyone.
