North Cyprus Law | The Citizenship Amendment Bill

North Cyprus Law - The Citizenship Amendment BillWITHOUT PREJUDICE

The Citizenship Amendment Bill has been approved by Parliament and published in an internet paper. It now requires the signature of the President and to be published in the Official Gazette.

The Interior Minister, we are informed, has been most helpful in bringing this matter to fruition and indeed was instrumental in convincing the Prime Minister that this amendment should not be part of the main Citizenship White Card Bill which of course saved a considerable amount of time.

The amendment was put before Parliament and passed yesterday.

How this amendment will help the majority of Aga buyers is yet to be discovered. Photos taken in 2012 shows how far the unfinished properties have deteriorated. Can the purchasers afford to finish them?¹

Is this action, some 10 years plus after the purchasers were Robb(ed) too little, too late?

Time will tell.

I personally think Mutley is well past his sell by date, He used to have some amusement value, but like BBC his repeats are now boring.

Would I be right in thinking that as no title deeds have been issued the Amaranta buildings belong to Robb?

So then, as Robb has had his citizenship revoked, the buildings will be confiscated and will belong to the Government?

    Or am I misreading something?

  • Polly Marples

    Yes correct.

Now Mr Foreman tells us that the Government intend to transfer them to the purchasers.

Now that in itself must be fraught with problems. Robb has already done time for developing GC land. Precedent set. So how safe will it be for any EU citizen to have them transferred into their name. Bear in mind the GC owner of the land at Amaranta is known. That is just hurdle number one.

Hurdle number two. Amaranta valley is an erosion plane. The photos taken in 2012 shows the terrible state the site is in. Three years further damage has occurred. Most villas will need to be demolished, the site cleaned and the building restarted, then there is the services and infrastructure to consider.

It is, in my opinion too little, too late.

Hurdle number three. Will the Govt keep its word, and what taxes will it be demanding.?

Probably more hurdles I haven’t even thought of.

You PM alias Pauline Reed have not been told anything by Mr Foreman. We have sent personal information to our buyers that they should not share with the likes of of you and indeed with another BB.

You can’t stand the thought of anyone making a breakthrough and getting justice.

  • Polly Marples

Did I say I had…the royal ‘we’ was used, which if you recall you put a blog on here which is where the info came from.

Now if you are going to refer to Pauline it is READ not Reed.

So are you saying that the Government has not made such a promise and that the whole point of the change was not to enable the transfer from Robb to the purchasers?

Seems to me as a lay person that only those with completed villas will profit from such a magnanimous gesture from the Govt. if and when it occurs. The state of some of the villas is terrible.

As a matter of record, I would like to see every purchaser of a Gary Robb home get their money back or take title if that is what they wish and if it is legally safe for them to do so. I mean everyone, not just those fortunate enough to have had use of their property.

The silly and flip throw away remark “You can’t stand the thought of anyone making a breakthrough and getting justice.”, is very childish.

Someone has to point out the truth to the other victims, because clearly there is a lot to be considered before each and every personal decision is made.

However, long before this decision will be necessary, we will have to see if the Govt keeps its word, it does have a rather poor history of doing so.

  • Polly Marples

    madethemove/ Mr foreman
i know of one so far that you did not send personal information to who is a victim of Robb and a member of the aga B/B that you are a represent.
