The first and only blues festival in the country carried out by Efes Pilsen and Positive Live Organizations, this year’s 23rd Efes Pilsen Blues Festival is guaranteed to ensure Cyprus an unforgettable “Blues” experience.
The festival is on November 13th and includes internationally known and prestigious Grammy and Emmy award-winning master of the blues, Billy Branch and his group The Sons of Blues. Special guest Zora Young, a talented Blues singer from Mississippi who has taken stage alongside junior Wells, Jimmy Dawkins, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Professor Eddie Lusk and B.B King, will also be joining Billy Branch.
Smokin’ Joe Kube and Bnois King alongside one of the world’s best drummers and winner of the 2009 Blues Music Awards “Best New Artist” award in 2010 and winner of the “Best Drummer” award in 2011 the legendary R.L. Cedric Burnside’s grandson Cedric Burnside will also be attending the festival.
The festival is at The Jasmine Court Disco in Kyrenia and is limited to those over 24. Hopefully there is no upper age limit and if so I’ll meet you there. The tickets are 25tl and that includes your first drink. Gates open at 1830.
