Cyprus News – Will Syria Become Another North Cyprus?
An interesting question is whether northern Syria become another northern Cyprus. ¹ This article is brought to you merely for information and in no way reflects my personal opinion. However the scenario as detailed in this article is by no means beyond the realms of possibility.
As Turkey approaches the 81st anniversary of its status as a Republic, is she really harbouring such expansion plans? I think not, but who can really say what is in the mind of the current leadership in Turkey?

Republic Day (Cumhuriyet Bayramı) – National Holiday – Anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic in 1923.
Of course for two consecutive years I was invited to attend a reception at the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia to celebrate this anniversary but sadly I was unable to attend. I guess this year’s invite got lost in the post. Sadly I was unable to attend anyway.
