Following on from my blog of Sunday.
Here I am sitting wearing my new glasses I just collected from Vision Express after a 33 days wait.
I am under no illusions, if I had not taken a friend’s advice and emailed the CEO, I would today have been demanding a full refund and walking out without any glasses.
Now I can tell you about my phone calls on Monday.
Phone number 1…big apology…guarantee to have the glasses in the store by tomorrow (today), Could they offer me a refund of £300. Yes you can says Pauline.
Telephone call number 2 …local shop, he has been told my glasses will be in tomorrow and to make a refund of £300 to me.
Telephone call number 3…customer services. Before I could say anything she says “we would like to make a full refund to you as well as provide the glasses.” Oh dear, I tell her about the other call but assure her I want the highest offer. I got it which equates to £489.
So still it seems the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. End result for me …glasses at no cost. But, and there is always a but, they were my 70th birthday present, so I guess I am due another present.
If only I could sort out Akfinans Bank Limited so easily.

£489, how many tins of Quality Street is that?
A lot WG. More in the UK than in north Cyprus though.
