Early elections on the cards as govt resigns – THE TRNC could be facing an early general election after Prime Minister and leader of the National Unity Party (UBP) Ersan Saner tendered the government’s resignation to President Ersin Tatar on Wednesday.

Grandmother, son and grandson arrested over unsolved 2017 murder – THREE generations of the same family were arrested this week in connection with the 2017 murder of a Vietnamese woman. The decomposed body of Dam Thi Hop, 40, was found wrapped in a carpet and blankets with 33 stab wounds near Ercan airport in 2019, a year and a half after she was reported missing in 2017.
