Popular Science News | Run Your Car On Air

Popular Science News – the idea of being able to run your car on air was first suggested, and quickly abandoned, in 1903. Peter Dearman has developed a modern equivalent but this time running on liquid air.

It is the explosive burning of petrol which drives the car’s combustion engine and the Dearman Engine does much the same but using air. Just imagine a transport system free from the need of oil. What if electricity could be generated in the same way releasing the need for oil as an energy source? What would that do to the economic viability of the Cyprus-Israel gas fields?
