Turkish Cypriot Fraudsters Highlighted in UK Serious Crime Report

WITHOUT PREJUDICE. Following on from the ‘strange’ reaction from the Minister of Finance when he was asked to help in stopping the unfair and unjust Auction of property bought by the victims of Gary Robb and the other shareholders and Directors of Aga Development Limited. It is perhaps time to remind us that it was not the victims’ fault, and that the Government could and should intervene.

How can it be that so many victims are having the blame apportioned to them? The Minister asked, ‘Why did people buy from Gary Robb?’ Well Mr. Minister since you declined to answer Pauline Read’s question, ‘Why was he given Citizenship?’ I will re-phrase the question. ‘Why did the Government of the day allow such a man to set up shop and have anything to sell to anyone?’ Why did Turkish Cypriots join his venture? A Turkish Cypriot co-shareholder, Turkish Cypriot Board members. Why did the Turkish Cypriot legal team aid in the transferring of money belonging to the company to Thailand and was it transferred to other countries? Why did the Government give Citizenship to a man on the run from British Justice?

In short Mr. Minister, normal law abiding Brits would not have heard of Gary Robb, simply because low life people would not have been in their social group. The Government of the day however, would have known who he was and did nothing to protect both the British and the Turkish Cypriots from him. Quite the reverse, if the blame game is to be played, then the blame sits firmly with the Government of the day and subsequent Governments who allowed him to continue.

Why, when challenged, do those being challenged always try to blame the victim? Look at a standard Contract, the purchaser only has one responsibility under it, to pay. All other liabilities are those of the vendor. How dare anyone blame the victims.

As a friendly reminder and because we know the Government read everything. Below is the infamous Court document issued by the British Court at the end of March 2012, and a list of the Shareholders and Directors of Aga Construction Limited.

With regard to Kulaksiz 5. Why is the Minister aiding the Bank in their ‘smoke and mirrors’ campaign? Even a blind man can see the non-payment of stoppages when letting a property is a totally separate issue to that of actually taking the villas belonging to the Kulaksiz 5. This ‘we can do no wrong ‘attitude is unbelievable.

The following is a repeat, nonetheless, well worth reading

At last the victims of Gary Robb have been acknowledged as just that. Sad to say, not in North Cyprus where the crimes took place but in the UK. It is but a small dent in the money that Robb and his cohorts extracted from their predominately British victims, £1.6 million, but it is a start. Let us hope that a way will be found to unearth more of Aga Development Limited’s ill gotten gains. So many victims, so little justice. Let us not forget the others in this company:

Gary John Robb – major holder
Akan Kursat – fellow shareholder (also Advocate for Akfinans Bank Limited)
Gary John Robb – Director
Kutsal Tokatioglu – Director
Cafer Gurcafer – Director
Mert Guclu – Director
Mert Guclu – Company Secretary

The victory by SOCA in the United Kingdom is just the beginning, let us pray it is not the end. That more money will be found and confiscated, from all those who took part in this scam of gigantic proportions. It is just a dream, but dreams can become reality.

Let us not forget the courage of people like Suz Latchford, Pat Clarke and Sandra Kocinski. Victims of Robb who showed remarkable courage in facing this thug and even at times needing witness protection. That did not stop them from co-operating with SOCA in their quest for some justice. I say some justice because until every victim has their full money returned to them, justice has not been done; it has not even come close.

For now, ABAG ladies, you are my heros, each and every one of you, so I personally admire and acknowledge you. Without you none of this would have been possible. I just hope I can display a portion of your courage. You are an inspiration to us all. Many have knocked you, none have come close to displaying your fortitude. Respect.

Read the full 18 page transcript and then I want to hear the applause – well done SOCA, well done British Justice, well done ABAG ladies. Up yours Mr Robb.

Never give in, never give up.

O B Joyful
