It was just one of those slow days when I decided to track a flight from Turkey when I noticed an unexpected flight path being show on the website I use for tracking.
The image shows a plane taking off from the south, heading towards Palestine or Egypt and then turning around, heading across Karpas and then into Turkey.
I looked later and discovered yet another plane, this time coming from the Middle East and carrying on towards Turkey, this time an Israeli passenger plane Reg No. ELY5851
I looked up this registration and discovered that the plane is the 0700 Tel Aviv-Yafo to (KTW) Katowice, Poland. Fascinating.
