As we entered it looked so inviting on a chilly evening with the fire that was roaring. We were offered a table very near to the fire and our drinks order was taken and we were given two miniature blackboards, one with the menu and the other with the Specials. It is English food (apart from the curries!) We had the pate(15tl) and broccoli and stilton soup (10tl) to start, both very good. The mains were steak pie in red wine (28tl) and Thai curry (25tl). The pie was home made and packed with tender meat. The Thai curry wasn’t quite so good but then I visit a lot of Thai restaurants and feel I am quite on expert on Thai food. There was nothing seriously wrong, I just felt it tasted a little bland. Certainly not a complaint, just a mention. We finished the meal with Tiramisu and Banoffee Pie. (10tl each) I think both had a million calories but were lovely! Efes was 8tl.
It is a cosy welcoming atmosphere, the prices are good and I can imagine the garden area at the rear of the property will be lovely in the summer.
Well worth a visit.
