President Anastasiades Refuses Dinner With President Akinci

President Anastasiades Refuses Dinner With President AkinciSouth Cyprus’s president Nicos Anastasiades refused to attend an official dinner hosted by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan after he discovered that the north’s President Mustafa Akinci was invited.

Aparently Anastasiades said “Have a nice dinner, I’m not coming” when a U.N. envoy telephoned him to say Akinci had been invited to the heads of state banquet on Monday evening.

Anastasiades had also cancelled a meeting scheduled with U.N. special envoy for Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide, for Thursday. It was unclear if he would meet Akinci as scheduled on Friday.

Looks like the talks are progressing as expected. Any bets on which will happen first, Cyprus reunification or life found on Mars?

Anastasiades of course is the internationally and legally recognized President of Cyprus, not South Cyprus since such entity does not exist, only mad dogs and senile old Englishmen refer to it as such.

Turkey will remain in Cyprus for ever, just like other occupiers she too will peeess off, and will the senile old …mad dogs !
