Dutch equivalent of UK’s BBC refers to “President Talat”

NOS_Journaal_President_TalatI’m pleased and proud to show you all that the Dutch NOS Journaal (comparable with the quality of BBC News) finally has seen the light. In radio and TV reports on Friday, December 11, 2009, reporter Bram Vermeulen (based in Istanbul) called the leader of the Turkish Cypriots, Mr. Mehmet Ali Talat, in an interview by his official title: President Talat. This was super-imposed by the Dutch editors of the TV report.

Well done, colleagues!

P.S. Next time call this country also by its official name: “Turkse Republiek Noord-Cyprus”, please.
