Cyprus Problem | South Rejects Bailout Terms

As expected, the south has said ‘No!’ and as with the 2004 Annan Plan it looks like they are waiting for a better deal with the strong possibility that, like the Annan Plan, there isn’t one. Greek Cypriots are banking on the EU not allowing the south to become bankrupt and Russian interests are circling the sinking ship offering money with strings attached. As far as Russian investors in Cyprus are concerned the involvement of their country brings the possibility that the Russian government will be allowed access to bank records.
