Cyprus in May – man the lifeboats!

It is Friday the 13th, for the superstitious amongst us, not a luck day.   Well it is Friday the 13th of May and we are in North Cyprus where we should be enjoying wall to wall sunshine.

This afternoon the heavens opened and down came the hail, the temperature dropped, we are having fork and sheet lightning simultaneously.

It is thundering.  The garden is not able to cope with the volume of water and the road outside has turned into a raging stream.

Remember, this is the start of the summer season here in North Cyprus.  When I was a little girl, I always believed thunder was God’s anger.  Well he certainly has much to be angry about at the behaviour of some in North Cyprus at the moment.

Agile has taken some photos you may find hard to believe.   Welcome to sunny Cyprus, at the moment, you are welcome to it.
