Kulaksiz 5 v Akfinans Bank Limited
As time marches on, it seems the Appeal the bank lodged against the judgement in favour of the Kulaskiz 5 on the 4th December 2014 seems to get further and further away.
Apparently a date for the 12th October was given for the Appeal but this was allegedly postponed with no new date given at that time.
I rather suspect another set of appearances/hearings are going on and to which I am not privy as I see the case number has been before the court in Girne on several occasions this year, the last being 22.10.2015 and there seems to be a new judge too. This keeping a client informed seems to be working well.
All I’m really interested in now is the Appeal of the decision given on the 4th December, 2014. Clearly win or lose, this decision will affect me and I want this under my belt. I have paid for that privilege.
However, as I state above, this Appeal seems to be getting further and further away. Will I live to see the outcome, will any of the Kulaksiz 5….your guess is as good as mine.
These are photos of my villa, taken by me, when I lived there.
Seven of the nine litigants still have use of their villas, so this delay, whilst annoying, does not stop them using their villas. Only me and Eve McCluskey do not, both of our villas being taken by an illegal act. As you are all aware the bank owning family use my villa as a weekend retreat and the last I heard, allegedly one of the bank employees was living in Eva McCluskey’s villa.
This photo shows the bank employees breaking into Eva McCluskey’s villa. This photo was published in both Turkish and English language newspapers and can be found on the internet via Google.

I guess his lack of communication is down to one of two reasons:
1. You are not there, so he simply cannot be bothered. Not an unusual attitude in TRNC.
2. He has been “requested” not to communicate with you. By whom? Who knows, in that place? But no doubt we can guess.
OR..3. Just plain ignorant.
