North Cyprus Government | National Airline To Be Relaunched

According to Sedar Denktas, a new North Cyprus airline will be re-established

“The Turkish Cypriot airline (KTHY) will be established again. Its name might not be KTHY. Our target is a company named ‘Cyprus Turkish Airlines International’. But could it be another name? Yes, it could, but at all events we will have a national airline”.

CTAI, catchy isn’t it. Hope the government remembers why the last national airline failed and I guess the government hopes the thousands of stranded passengers will forget too, especially with well established Turkish Airline, Pegasus and AtlasJet as alternatives. Mind you, perhaps they could undercut these companies…wasn’t that why CTA failed in the end?
