Sherwood Breezes Review, Day 2 – Sunday 13th March 2011

Woke at 7am and went down for an early breakfast. The choice was enormous and we were impressed by the accordionist and the fact that the baby chair was cellophane wrapped!

Less impressive was the amount of repair and upgrading being carried on around us.

We took a walk around the site and walked along the sandy beach. Unfortunately some of the facilities were closed but the heated indoor pool made up for the lack of outdoor pools. The bowling alley was being repaired too!

We spent most of the day drinking, eating and enjoying the sun. We listened to some excellent guitar music and it wasn’t until later that we realised that this was live.

We played gin rummy for a while and won a game each but after a while we were spending too much time stopping the cards being blown away. After dinner we found a quiet place to chill out and experiment with the various inexpertly made cocktails. We left a trail of unfinished drinks throughout the hotel.

Having had only 5 hours sleep the night before we went to bed early and avoided the best couple competition.
