‘Enforce Property Laws’ – the Avaaz petition started up by Gillian Lashford and Pauline Read, and supported by MNCB, has made front page – Sign the Avaaz TRNC Property Petition NOW! Marian Stokes of HBPG implies the petition is a waste of time and says that the situation is not the government’s fault it’s the lawyers for not registering contracts in the Land Registry in the required 21 days. Editor: Her solution is therefore….to get into a time machine. A spokesperson for the government confirm this view, “it’s not our fault, we’ve done nothing.”
