Yesterday, while waiting to take off from Ercan bound for Istanbul, a Turkish Airline Chief Pilot had a second epileptic fit that day, according to passengers reported in a story in Hürriyet newspaper.

According to eyewitnesses the pilot had already fainted in the airport’s cafeteria at 6:05 p.m and then one hour later, while passengers were waiting for take off, the pilot made an announcement saying there was a technical fault and the plane would be delayed.

The pilot left the cockpit and talked to the passengers, claiming he was fine and he had no health problems, and then had a third epileptic fit. At this point passengers were transferred to another plane to continue on to Istanbul.
