With 100% of the votes in, it is now confirmed that Mustafa Akinci is the new President of the TRNC. He achieved 60.5% of the votes and brings a leftist set of policies to the role. There is hope that his more conciliatory approach to the Cyprus Talks could be more successful than the approach of Dervish Eroglu.
