North Cyprus Property | Permission to Purchase Problem

WITHOUT PREJUDICE

Permission to Purchase has been, in my opinion, an unnecessarily long process here in north Cyprus and such long delays have taken place between purchasing your property and having the Kocan put into your name, many people have paid for their property in full and are still waiting for their Permission to Purchase.

The time that has elapsed between your parting with your money and receiving PTP has been used by the builders/landowners and banks in many cases to tie you up in knots, place mortgages and memorandums on your property and making it difficult and sometimes impossible for you to ever own what you have paid for.

Permission to Purchase is only necessary for foreigners buying in north Cyprus.

In early 2006 the PTP requirements changed and you were obliged to seek your own Police check from ACPO Criminal Records Office and as you will see between May 2006 and December 2009 the address to which you can apply from abroad has changed, in December 2009 it was:

ACRO (SA0)
PO Box 623
Fareham PO14 9HR
email: [email protected]

However, if like me, you have protested vehemently about all the unjust practices here, you may find yourself accused of being a foreign agent and subjected to a full political enquiry. As you can see from my Police checks in May 2006 and December 2009, I am a clean living, upstanding citizen and have no criminal record. This does not stop the petty bullying and spite of those who I have taken to task from stopping my PTP, simply because they can. There is no other reason. I am not an agent, I am not a spy. I love north Cyprus and these type of actions just bring further shame to the perpetrators of such petty vindictiveness.

Long live north Cyprus.

Never give in never give up
