K5 v Akfinans Bank | Cyprus Today Apology

Cyprus Today apology to Akfinans.WITHOUT PREJUDICE

It is interesting how Cyprus Today backed off reporting the Kulaskiz 5 v Akfinans case following their apology to Akfinans Bank Limited. I am not saying they did not report on the case, I am saying they wore kid gloves when doing so.

I am sure we would not get permission to reproduce it here so I can only refer you to Cyprus Today at that time.

What is interesting is that in the course of researching and trying to find a copy of that apology, I found this.

http://www.tribunemagazine.org/2014/06/nadir-prison-move-after-cia-research-paper-reveals-polly-peck-links-to-saddam-supergun/

I do not remember any mention of this change of ‘prison accommodation’ for their owner/former owner reaching the pages of Cyprus Today. Indeed I too was extremely busy sorting our Agile’s health issues in the UK at that time and missed this interesting report. Better late than never.

My name is rarely, if ever mentioned in Cyprus Today, I guess my blogging on NCFP may be part of the reason, or perhaps, as is more likely, I am persona no grata there too. I note that despite an invite, Cyprus Today chose not to attend Mike’s party on 1st April, I guess old fears of Libel action die hard. We had a great time and a very notable organisation made an appearance.

Was the apology to Akfinans Bank ever necessary? The judgement of the 4th December 2014 seems to indicates not. It will be interesting to see if the High Court uphold this judgment.

As of today, it is now 4 months since that judgment and we are STILL awaiting the date for the Appeal. Patience is a virtue, waiting a way of life for the K5. Which will come first, JUSTICE or DEATH?

Never give in never give up
