Popular Science News | Malware Hijacked Address Book

Popular Science News – having just received a strange email from Pauline Read’s Yahoo account, and discovering that her address book had been hijacked,  I thought it might be useful to warn readers about the dangers of not scanning their PC regularly with free software such as Malwarebytes. Download this software, update it and run it regularly to clear out any lurking dangers.

If your Yahoo account is involved then change the password immediately and use a more secure password using numbers and upper and lower case letters. The longer the better. Some people say they can never remember these passwords but by substituting number for letters, eg 1 for i or 3 for e, you can still make it memorable. Perhaps you can use an address you used to live in, eg 33 High Street could become 33H1ghStr33t.
