I want to Sign the Avaaz TRNC Property Petition NOW!

Do petitions make a difference? I don’t know. What I do know is that there are a lot of passionate people who have been badly used and abused in north Cyprus and despite their many attempts to negotiate with those that could make a difference have been ignored. Their Human Rights have been ignored. The God of too many in north Cyprus has been money. The God of too many in north Cyprus has been power.

A new ad more radical look at that which divides has to be taken. A new Government is now being formed. I say to those who are now about to take the reins. Look to the future. Heal the past mistakes before moving forward. Yes, you can be the saviour of your young country, but only with courage and determination can you make the difference. You, the new Government, need to address the wrongs of the past by righting them. Be brave, be bold. First take all property scam victims and compensate them or give them what ‘natural justice’ tells you they are entitled to. If you do this you will heal the rift that bad people have created. You will restore faith in this country and bring much needed stability to north Cyprus.

Sign this Avaaz Petition and show the strength of resolve and feeling from not only the victims and their supporters but also the decent majority of Turkish Cypriot people.

Remember why the people gave you power by giving you their vote.

Never give in never give up.

Here’s the petition for forwarding to your friends:

Land Registry to Respect Contractual Rights of restrictions on Kojans. Estate Agents Law to be enforced.

With immediate effect we hope the New Government will enforce Laws that are in place to protect peoples property.

Many People whom wished to spend their retirement in the TRNC have used their life savings to purchase homes and have lost everything due to third party Injunctions/Memorandums/auctions.

Many more are exposed to ongoing threats which has been brought about by land Registry’s failure to protect Restrictions that are already in place on the Kojans when a New Contract is registered at Land Registry were the appropriate fee is paid to recognize the New Contract.

Please, we ask the “New Government” to step in and stop “Land Registry” Confiscating New Owners Contractual Rights of “Immoveable Property” by allowing mortgages,Injunctions and Memorandums which result in AUCTIONS and loss of innocent peoples homes.

We as first party Contracts are having our rights under TRNC Law ignored. We hope that this will be addressed by you before other innocent people loose their own homes.

Please uphold our legal rights as a first party “Contract and Restriction” on Kocans of “Immoveable Property” in accordance to TRNC Law.

We also ask the Estate Agents union to;

Address Laws that are being ignored by ” Estate Agents” and ensure membership of their professional body is current with indemnity insurance in force with all premiums paid.

Estate Agents prior to marketing of property ensure

* Build Permits in Place

* Infrastructure in Place prior to Developments and marketing of site.

* Developers and builders to produce evidence of their Membership of their designated professional body and/or Union.

(These issues are covered under the New Estate Agency Laws)

We also ask that the “Laws” that are in place to protect NEW CONTRACTUAL OWNERS when landowners act fraudulently in any part of the selling/buying Legal process are addressed.
