Afrika newspaper (13.03.13) on its front page reports that the Turkish businessman Temel Bulut, Chairman of the management board of Bulut Construction company, has ‘disappeared’. The newspaper in the headline made a play on his name which means cloud in Turkish. Apparently Mr Bulut, who came promising ‘cheap houses,’ is alleged to have ‘run away’. Afrika newspaper says it warned in its previous reports about a possible fraud being perpetrated by Bulut Construction company.

In the Havadis newspaper (13.03.13), however, Bulut Construction company’s legal advisor, Mustafa Sener, explained that Mr Bulut left because citizenship was not granted to him because of a minor previous conviction. Mr Sener also tried to allay the concerns of Bulut Construction buyers, promising that the Evviva Lavinium project in Bogaz would continue and the houses would be all completed by December 2013.
