US, France and Turkey 'Protecting Their Oil Interests' Off North Cyprus

At a time when Turkey is launching its War Games off North Cyprus, to protect their oil interests, the US and France are repeating the same mantra. In the case of Turkey, it is launching its largest military exercise Sea Wolf (Denizkurdu) from Monday. The exercise, supervised by the Turkish navy, will run until May 25 in the eastern Mediterranean, Aegean and Black Sea with 131 warships, 57 warplanes and 33 helicopters, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.

In response, French President Emmanuel Macron has said that the interests of his country are identical to those of South Cyprus and that the French company TOTAL is preparing for its own drilling off North Cyprus, and according to available information, its drilling equipment will be protected by French frigates. Not to be beaten, American warships are currently in the area in which they have already received a mandate to protect the interests of Exxon Mobil.

Meanwhile, the South Cyprus government is sitting back waiting for a possible escalation of aggression towards Turkey which will benefit them, and all without raising a finger.
