North Cyprus News | TRNC Interim Government

Kibris Postasi web site (10.06.13) stated that the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), the Democratic Party (DP) and the Communal Democracy Party (TDP) held a meeting in order to establish an interim government in the north, to govern until the 28 July elections. It was no surprise that the National Unity Party (UBP) did not participate in the meeting.

According to Kibris Postasi the three parties had reached an agreement on the issue and the chairman of CTP, Ozkan Yorgancioglu, said that they would meet again today in order to determine the name of the person who will act as the interim prime minister.  The chairman of DP, Serdar Denktas, said they hadn’t discussed any names today. The chairman of the TDP, Mehmet Cakici, criticized UBP for not participating in the meeting.
