North Cyprus News | Prime Minister İrsen Küçük to Resign

The TRNC government fell today as a motion of censure was passed by Parliament. Out of 50 possible votes, 27 deputies voted for the motion while 21 deputies voted against it.  The ruling party and the opposition agreed last month to hold early elections on July 28th instead of in April 2014, when they were due.

The Parliamentary speaker Hasan Bozer stated that Prime Minister İrsen Küçük should now submit his resignation to President Derviş Eroğlu in accordance with the accepted procedure in these cases.

Will we notice any difference during the next eight weeks?
