Cyprus News | Direct Travel From Larnaca to Antalya

According to the Halkin Sesi newspaper (05.10.13), a cruise ship travelled directly from Larnaca to Antalya, in Turkey, carrying 2,042 tourists. The majority of the tourists were French, German, Israeli, British and Spanish. Although seemingly unremarkable, this is another example of direct travel between the south and Turkey, something the south have been trying to prevent, as have Turkey. Some cruises go to Antalya via Lebanon but with the problems in the region it would not be out of the question for them to travel straight to Antalya and avoid the area, for example Ambiente’s ship Princess Daphne travels this route.

With the gradual breaking down of these prohibited routes, who knows, perhaps direct flights from Ercan to Stansted, for instance, aren’t that far away.
