Cyprus Bailout | South’s Finance Minister Resigns

Cyprus Bailout | South’s Finance Minister Resigns – Frightened of the result?

Republic of Cyprus Finance Minister Michael Sarris resigned from the government today after assisting in finalising an international aid bailout to stave off a financial collapse of the island.

Sarris told reporters in Nicosia that he resigned because a committee had been set up today to investigate the reasons and background that led to Cyprus’s economic crisis. Sarris has served as chairman of Cyprus Popular Bank Pcl (CPB), the second-largest lender, which has been shut as part of the financial rescue. Is he worried about the flak. Concerned the Teflon suit won’t protect him?
