Cyprus News - Central Bank Governor Refuses to GoWITHOUT PREJUDICE

Cyprus News – Central Bank Governor Refuses to Go

“CENTRAL Bank Governor Chrystalla Georghadji said on Saturday she did not intend to resign her post, a day after President Nicos Anastasiades launched a scathing attack against her for the alleged removal of wording in her contract pertaining to conflict of interest arising from blood relatives, and accusing her of lying about encounters she claimed to have had with him.” ¹

Sadly the lady who was to herald a new era of transparency and openness at the Central Bank of Cyprus allegedly has feet of clay. This lady who was brought in to save the ailing banking sector allegedly took the job, but not before a little judicious (pun intended) rewriting of her Contract.

So it seems that the habits of a lifetime cannot easily be unlearned and allegedly Mrs. Georghadji made sure the family did not have to change a thing, that even if there were a provable conflict of interests, she is fire proof.

She says she will not resign, let us see what the coming week brings.

All is far from well in the ROC and something is still rotten in the Kingdom of Denmark.
