President Mustafa Akinci and President Nicos Anastasiades met with U.N. Special Adviser for Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide, and said that they would continue to protect the “positive” atmosphere for a two-society and two-region federation. During this meeting they agreed on 5-steps they believe showed progress in the talks. Some time in the future they were going to:
- open more crossing points;
- interconnect their power grids;
- allow mobile phone interoperability on both sides of the island;
- resolve the issue of radio frequency conflicts;
- form a joint committee on gender equality on Cyprus.
In addition, Akinci and Anastasiades plan to hold four more meetings between June 17 and July 27.
I guess these steps are a test to see if the two sides have the stomach to co-operate and to see how long it will take to put them into practice. It will also be interesting to see what obstacles the south create in order to prevent them happening. Watch this space.
” what obstacles the south create in order to prevent them happening.”
You are talking rubbish as per usual.
Oh good grief, why don’t you just sod off. Mutley and reality are total strangers.
If you had any sense you senile old cow you would not find your self at this age buried in Turkish shiiiiietee !
By the way, when are you ….going back ?????
senile old cow….a well reasoned debate Mutley. You have absolutely no idea of Pauline’s circumstances do you? You really are the senile one since all you have by way of any comment are childish rants.
Now go away and continue pickling yourself in red wine.
You have consistently, unrelentlesly expressed joy at the Turkish invasion of my birth country and the killing of more than 5000 Cypriots, including a close relative of mine. Do you expect me to consider your self inflicted stupid acts and be sorry for you ?
The likes of you are to me the lowest forms of humanity and I call a spade a spade.
Milti when are you going to let it sink in your thick head that what happened on Cyprus had absolutely nothing to do with the average Brit.
Look a little close to home for answers to your self inflicted issues and maybe ask your fellow G/Cs but having said that you will not take any notice.
I think I am going to call you Sepp Blatter from now on, he is similar to you, Pig Headed, Stupid, in denial, a liar and totally corrupt.
Stupid man, you choose to rearrange what people actually say to suit yourself. Pauline has always said that the Turkish intervention was necessary. She never ‘rejoiced’ just accepted it was necessary. That she has ever been happy about anyone dying is all in your head.
Pauline has never asked for your sympathy, it was be a worthless thing anyway.
Now go boil a sheep’s head or something. Whatever you peasants do at weekends.
You are a no account, cheapskate, carpet buggering idiot.
it would be a worthless thing.
An ” intervention” you silly ignorant peasant that has kept our northern parts occupied for more than 40 years. Where is your only remaing brain cell, I know , burried deep in your ….
Yeah yeak yeah more of the repeats….
Yes and here’s to the next TROUBLE free 40yrs.
Now go boil your head you plank.
Have you had your weekly bath yet you dirty peasant ?
Any one of these could refer to you 🙂
