P’s 6, 7, 8 and 9 Denktaş Tributes including chance to sign the Memorial book – Expat tributes to founding TRNC President Rauf Denktaş can be made at St Andrews church.
A ceremony was held on Sunday to commemorate the former Turkish Cypriot leader Dr Fazil Kὕçὕk when sirens across the country sounded at 10.28 am. It was the 28th anniversary of his death. Dr Eroğlu addressed the crowd and concluded his speech “Dear Doctor there is no turning back from the point of being a state, which so excited you in your last days.”
Water will be for the ‘whole island’ – “peace water” that is to come from Turkey will be for the whole of Cyprus according to TRNC and Turkish politicians.
