North Cyprus Law – Kulaksiz 5 v Akfinans Bank Update

Kulaksiz 5 now have a date for their Appeal against the judgement from the lower court to refuse them their request to have additional evidence entered into court for their main case.

The Appeal will take place on Monday 3rd March at the High Court in Lefkosa.

Kulaksiz 5 are due in court on Tuesday 4th March for another appearance in relation to their main case.

I would expect that the case on the 4th March would be adjourned again. I wish K5 good luck with their Appeal.

On an entirely different subject.

As the days go by, more and more clients of the missing advocate Mehmet Kaptan Bensen become increasingly anxious. Having paid in advance for his legal services, it is not unreasonable for his clients to expect to know what is happening. Many have given him all their paperwork and feel confused, helpless and angry.

His office in Karakum is now occupied by another business and he is not answering emails or telephone calls.

Is it unreasonable to expect the Baro Counsel to intervene in this very unsatisfactory situation?
