North Cyprus News | The Fate of Asil Nadir
Mr Nadir is making the news again. He was featured in Cyprus Today on Saturday where a small piece about him claimed that the British Government were yet again considering his transfer to Turkey to serve the residue of his sentence. It seems Bellmarsh is not where he wants to finish his sentence. How much more comfortable are Turkish prisons? No criticism of Turkish prison system is intended, what use is prison if they are like 5 star hotels?
As you can see from the links below, the British press are giving Mr Nadir considerable coverage at the moment. I do not see the point in keeping him in a British jail and burdening the British taxpayers further. Add to this that Mr Nadir is allegedly unwell and it would be the humane thing to do. I think we all accept it will not be long before Mr Nadir will be home.
