North Cyprus Elections | New Government Boys’ Club

The final list of Ministers in the new north Cyprus government were given to the President and what a surprise, not a single woman features. This wouldn’t be so laughable if the Prime Minister of the Interim Government hadn’t been a woman; Sibel Siber. She stood out immediately when she took up the position as the first female Prime Minister in the island’s history. She stood for fighting corruption, particularly within the government. She stood for exposing the way some MPs believed they had joined the gravy train and that instead of being elected to serve the people, believed they could now serve themselves. Here’s the make up of the North Cyprus Boys’ Club (NCBC). As far as property victims are concerned, Teberruken Ulucay, the Minister of Interior and Local Administration is the one to watch:

  • Ozkan Yorgancioglu (CTP-BG): prime minister;
